Fedotov Leonid

Leonid Fedotov was born in 1931 in a small village Red Yar, near Saratov. Graduated from the art school in 1949. Leonid Fedotov graduated from the famous Saratov Art Academy in 1961 . Since 1961 Leonid Fedotov started to work as a professional artist and had numerous exhibitions with young Russian artists all around the former Soviet Union. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1971.

Leonid Fedotov won the 2nd prize in the all-Union exhibition of Russian Landscape Artists in 1974. Leonid Fedotov tries to capture beautiful Russian landscape as well as the lives of Russian people by traveling extensively throughout the Russia. In his travels he also became fascinated with Russian folk art. Leonid Fedotov's paintings are in Russian Embassies in France, USA, Poland, Czechoslovakia and Cuba. Twelve of Leonid Fedotov's paintings were chosen by the Government of the USSR to be presented to the foreign dignitaries visiting the country.

Since 1991 to 1994 a number of Leonid Fedotov's paintings have been sold through prestigious Auction Galleries in London, Paris and Amsterdam.

During his 30 year career, Leonid Fedotov's works have been purchased by museums in Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Kazakhstan and other former Soviet Republics. Since 1992 Leonid Fedotov has made a very successful debut in the United States.
