Jury Nemtsev and his paintings

Artist Jury Nemtsev speaks about himself with a smile: « I am a realist and nobody can contradict that! »

Undoubtedly, he works in extremely realistic manner. And at the same time, plots of his canvases are so fantastic, that they remind of  creation of myths. Myths were always created in the Present with obvious tendency towards the Future.

Creative people possess ability to snatch out knowledge from subconsciousness and formulate it in words, notes and canvases. Such people are quite often named “conductors”. They bring the new knowledge of the Future and guide us there. Jury Nemtsev is one of such people. One of the features of our time is that we all become “conductors”. Someone is a conductor at least for itself, and someone is given more.

Jury is the Scorpion, with the essence of the Snake carrier. Snake carrier  is a thirteenth special sign of the Zodiac which enables the person to work on other levels of consciousness. It is a point of crossing of three times - the Past, the Present and the Future.

Psychologists, culturologists, astrologists find in his works many signs and symbols which can be read as an interesting book. Often artist cannot explain all these signs and symbols, but it is not necessary. He is overflown with plots.

Nemtsev's works are so rich with themes and plots, that it could have been enough for many pictures. But his surrealistic works are not just his imagination. The artist confesses, that the picture is given to him as a gift in a dream and his task is in the embodiment of the idea, completion of details and choice of technique. Here we deal with active layers of subconsciousness connected with the diverse mythological world and the metahistorical knowledge going through this person.

There is no key to decoding Jury Nemtsev’s works. To find this key is a task of the spectator. His canvases belong to the direction of painting where artist and spectator try to understand each other.  The degree of preparation of the spectator determines his perception of the creation. It often happens at an intuitive level - "it is interesting", "It involves". There are a lot of themes for thinking: problems of ecology, historical dramas, contacts to extraterrestrial civilizations and many other things.

We don’t  know who condenses our time. But we can foresee consequences of  our words and actions. In Jury Nemtsev’s works we see that the information that comes through them becomes more and more clear and concrete. Our problem is to realize it and to make the right decision.
Eventually, our time is a time of wonderful transformations. And we can see these changes with our own eyes!

In regional public charity organization " the Vital help to children-invalids" Jury on public principles works on rehabilitation of children-invalids and children from the socially-not protected families, trying to disclose their abilities: together with the pupils  he organizes exhibitions of creativity,  festivals, competitions, concerts, literary-thematic meetings where children have an opportunity to realize their abilities, believe in themselves.
Jury Nemtsev carefully thinks over every painting, no matter weather it is an abstraction, a traditional landscape or an intergalactic landscape. In his works there is no casual lines, the color scale of his canvases is a celebration of light.

There is no hopelessness in his pictures. They associate with everlasting being of our civilization, when the dying world gives birth to the new, more perfect one.
