Purygin Valentin

Purygin Valentin was born in 1926 in Saratov province. In 1931 he moved to Samara with his family. In 1944 he graduated Moscow Secondary Art School. In 1943 took part in an exhibition of students of the School.

  • In 1950 Purygin graduated Surikov's Moscow Art Institute.
  • In 1951 he came back to Samara. The member of Art Union since 1954.
  • In 1955 took part in Art exhibition of Russian artists in Moscow.
  • In 1956 took part in an exhibition devoted to 40 years of Socialist Revolution in Moscow.
  • In 1961 took part in All-Union Art exhibition in Moscow. 1964-1989 took part in local art exhibition named "Big Volga".
  • In 1967 took part in 3rd Republic Art exhibition "Soviet Russia", Moscow.
  • In 1971 his personal exhibition in Samara. In 1972 personal exhibition in Moscow.
  • In 1973 the artist moved to Zagorsk (Moscow region).
  • In 1974 took part in "Zhiguli" exhibition of Samara's artists in Moscow and in Leningrad.
  • In 1975 took part in 5th Republic Art exhibition "Soviet Russia", Moscow.
  • In 1976 took part in All-Union Art exhibition named "Glory to Labour" and moved to Moscow.
  • In 1977 took part in group exhibition of 23 Moscow artists in Moscow.
  • In 1978 moved to Samara.
  • In 1981 participated All-Union Art exhibition "Along the native country".
  • In 1981 personal exhibition in Samara and in 1982 personal exhibition in Kazan. Also in 1982 he took part in International Planer in Bulgaria.
  • In 1982 artist got title Honoured Artist of Russian Federation.
  • In 1991 Purygin had another personal exhibition in Samara. Valentin Purygin died in 2002.
